{Tiebar modification}
{Custom installation without using L brackets}
Here are the preliminary measurements for proposed tiebar install
Here you see where the hole can be drilled for tiebar installation. Rear arm is being used.
This is the first proposed place to mount the tiebar. A great spot and should take a 3/8" hole w/ no problem.
Full view of the mounting of said tiebar. Great location w/ no L brackets needed.
This is the other location that can be used. This will probably be the location I'll use for it's strength.
A full view of the said installation of the tiebar. I like this spot the most.
Here is the new tiebar. Aluminum bar with chromoly heim joints.
Here is the actual end which is sealed and all chromoly. 6,000 lb rating too.
Here is the first hole drilled. Center it and make sure you do this so the bar will sit right on the arm.
Driver side almost done. Center nut is used to keep the bar from hitting the exhaust. I may remove this with time once I get the car on the road.
Passenger side shot. I used some anti-sieze to keep the chromoly from siezing since aluminum and steel don't mix well.
Almost ready to drop the car. Looking good for sure.
Finally on the ground and looking sic. Pictures don't do this justice.
Here's a shot of how close this is to the exhaust. A good test drive will see if there is clearance issues.
Another finished and complete picture of the rear suspension system. It's finally done. Thank you RodEndSupply.com.
A nice finalized picture of the rear of the car. It's one of my favorite looks.
Here is a complete list of what went into this setup.
Thank you RodEndSupply.com for the great products that you sell.
I'll most assuredly will be doing more business with them and will soon be working on custom tie rods using sherical ends from RodEndSupply.
