Misnblu's Cavalier History and Blog
                Page One
08/27/03  Just had a new catalytic Convertor installed.   It's OBDII compliant, higher flowing than aftermarket cats and added a few hp to the car once installed.   I also had the Super Turbo by Dynomax removed for a Cherry Bomb muffler.   It's loud and much better on the top end.

07/05/03   Just installed a rear strut tower bar on the car.   The fit is good and love what it did with the feel and handling of the car.    The chassis is finally rigid enough to actually be stable at high speed.
07/03/03   Just attached the front strut tower bar to the firewall and boy, what a difference that made.  Its now more like a k-brace and believe it or not, made a dramatic difference in the rigidity of the bar.   This should be done to all Cavaliers from the factory.
08/11/03 AutoRave car show coming up.  I won't enter the car as its not really a car show.    The MSCA club will be there and representing.
Update, the even sucked.   Hardly any cars were there and probably wont happen next year.  I'll have pictures up soon.
08/31/03  I finally did some interior work this weekend.    I installed a pushbutton start for the car.   Installed some Pioneer TST-11 Tweets on the dash for better highs on the factory Monsoon radio/ cd player.
I also painted the drums blue along with the center caps of the rims.   No more vinyl there.
09/01/03 Finally installed the tranny and oil coolers, just don't have them hooked up with fluid yet.   Coming soon.

09/07/03  Just got rid of all external vinyl.   Center caps have been painted with ceramic paint, exterior vinyl to cover the dot matrix of the rear window has been removed and installed inside instead of outside.   Only vinyl left if for the MSCA stickers for the car club.   More to come.
09/10/03  Won first place trophy at Gulfport Dragway in bracket racing.   This was my first, first place trophy to win and ran consistent 15.8's, 2.2's for 60 foot times and very consistent .5's for r/t's in this sportcompact event for the 1/4 mile.
Upgraded the power and grounding of the car to 4 gauge wire and eliminated the 8 gauge factory wiring for better ingnition and less problems for the stereo system.
09/29/03  Just updated the Z24 Page with new pictures of the car, engine bay and underbody.    I also reinstalled the seats, stock tires and rims on the car for daily driver duties again.   More to come.

10/07/03  Well, I decided to stop modding for now and get into the game of Paintball.  The season is here, my marker (paintball gun) needs more mods to complete the low pressure mods to the gun.
Right now, I'm in the process of getting an engine stand and engine puller for the 1986 Z24.
Cruisin the Coast is here and we are going to be knee deep in it.
I'll have some pictures up on the site once complete.

10/16/03 Cruising the Coast was a huge success for the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Nearly 8,000 cars were there and hotrodding on the coast and you can see some of the pictures on my old site, here
I haven't done anything with the 'blu lately, just keeping the car maintained and running good.
Sunday marks the start of Paintball season for me and am heading for SWAT, a local place around here to play like the pro's do.
I'll have some pictures of the event soon.
Keep posted.
03/07/2008   Update, finally.
If you've noticed the webpage, it's changed.   Also, the 'blu has changed for the better.
There is too much to list but you can check them out on the main page by checking the Makeover section.
RKSports 'Import Fighter' side skirts are sitting in storage along with the car.
The Behr oil cooler seems to have a minor leak in the fins of the cooler.   It's time to look at Earl's for an oil cooler upgrade.
I've also been driving the 'blu around at any chance I get.
This car is soo good when you're driving it around town or in spirited driving on the backroads.
I'll try to update further as we go.
